Our new film about the Hungarian-American community is almost done – but this time it’s the older generation (those who left Hungary in 1956) who do the talking. They tell their own stories and also explain why it was important for them to create the so-called Hungarian-American cultural, political, and gastronomical “incubator” that they raised their children in. The film, which includes new, never-before screened archives from the 1960’s until the early 1990’s, was directed by Réka Pigniczky, in close cooperation with Endre Szentkirályi from Cleveland who provided expert background research and new archive film footage, fotos and documents.
The film includes interviews with: László Böjtös, Katalin Vörös, Ödön Szentkirályi, Kálmán Magyar, dr. Nagy Károly, Andrea Mészáros, and Szabolcs Kálmán.
The film will be released together with the original Inkubátor (2009), on March 15th. Keep watching our website for details!
